The Welcome Center is THE place to get linked up with other new students and American friends.
Welcome Center Services
- ISI volunteers will be happy to help new students with: finding an apartment, going shopping, going to a bank, answering questions about UNM and Albuquerque, etc.
- Free lunch is provided.
- The Free Household Goods Giveaway provides a box of kitchen and household goods to all new students.
- Free Furniture is available along with delivery to your apartment.
- It's a great place to hang out before classes begin.
ISI Welcome Center
International students who have recently arrived in Albuquerque for the Fall or Spring semester at the University of New Mexico are invited to come to the ISI Welcome Center. ISI Albuquerque volunteers will be glad to help you with your immediate needs, such as: finding a room or apartment off campus, driving you to stores or government offices, delivering furniture to your apartment, setting up a phone or bank account, and answering any questions you have about Albuquerque. A free lunch is available to all international students who come to the Welcome Center between 12:30 and 2:30pm (or as long as the food lasts). The Welcome Center is only open for 1-3 weeks before the start of a UNM semester.
